Job Description:

Spirit Airlines Tooling & Equipment Department is seeking a coordinator to process day-to-day movement of company owned and borrowed tools. This position is essential to the overall effectiveness of Spirit Airlines Maintenance operations and adherence to company guidelines and policies are critical.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Send requests to stations via email of tools due calibration with repair order and destination vendor
  • Process bi-weekly inventory print verified against station findings
  • Perform regular station audit of company tools
  • Email sent to station for tool movement
  • Acknowledgement of request fulfilled through scanned COMAT Sheet
  • Bi-Weekly Inventory print form from trax emailed to locations
  • Coordinate shipments of tools due calibration
  • Verify tool received at vendor via email/follow up phone call
  • Generate request for tool movement from stations
  • Acknowledgement tool received in station needed
  • Maintain NKS tooling inventory at remote locations state side and abroad
  • Quarterly audit forms from station visit submitted to supervisor/manager for review of completion
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g. emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).
  • Adjustments made from findings

Job Requirements:

  • Must demonstrate the ability to use and adapt to standard MS computer software and various web applications.
  • Must be able to work various shifts.
  • 1-5 years of stockroom parts movement and issues required.
  • Familiarity with commercial aviation parts and tools preferred.
  • Must be able to effectively present ideas to management and team.
  • Must be able to support maintenance at remote location and countries.
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to quickly analyze and improve tooling requirements and mitigate line down scenarios.
  • Must be able to quickly analyze and improve tooling requirements and mitigate line down scenarios.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all interfacing co-worker, vendors and suppliers.
