Job Description:

The Director, Business Application Delivery is responsible for directing and overseeing packaged application administration and development for ERP, Corporate and Operational Business applications with an emphasis on Finance, Collaboration, Internal Web, Airport, Maintenance & Packaged systems. This position will provide the vision and strategy for effective deployment and maintenance of applications across the organization, performing assessments, implementations and production support for Spirits systems portfolio. This individual will collaborate with business partners and leadership across the organization to strategically assess business priorities and manage resource capacity to ensure the delivery of a high level of end user satisfaction. The. Director will provide thought leadership promoting efficient system architectures and providing effective production support across the organization at a time when significant change is taking place, organizationally and strategically. As a member of the IT leadership team, this individual will bring business and system analysis specific expertise as well as overall leadership skills in support of the wider IT organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Directs a team of application systems admins and developers
Improves operational processes and supports critical business strategies by directing the development, implementation, and maintenance of applications systems. (ERP, Corporate and Operational Business Applications)
Formulates business systems architecture plans, estimates costs, and ensures projects meet strategic needs
Establishes functional requirements and related quality or performance standards and ensures compliance of final delivered product
Ensures all activities with Applications align with organizational goals and objectives
Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function
Recommends policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of large complex systems. Proven ability to adapt to new roles and responsibilities. Consult with stakeholders to find alternative workarounds during system outages
  • Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Manage and encourage new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations
  • Knowledge and skill in a broad base of application administration and deployment strategies.
  • Key experience and proven competencies in technologies associated with responsibilities. (i.e. Sabre, ERP Systems, MRO Systems, Microsoft Sharepoint, Finance Systems)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering/Computer Science
  • Knowledge of cloud based solutions such as SaaS and PaaS
  • 10+ years’ experience in application administration and ERP solutions
