Job Description:

BUSINESS IMPACT STATEMENT A highly challenging and awarding position that spans all operation processes and labor standards for Kohl’s Stores. This position manages a team of Industrial Engineers responsible for optimizing all store labor processes. Identify, evaluate, justify and implement process optimization, labor performance programs, device application enhancements, and benchmark industry labor standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning, development, and deployment of projects
  • Provides leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise, thus affecting the results of the operating area
  • Creates an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining open communications
  • Develops staff through coaching, providing performance feedback, providing effective performance assessments and establishing performance and development plans
  • Evaluate and enhance current system processes through industrial engineering methods
  • Lead labor management program best methods and procedures, time and motion study, coaching and general program maintenance
  • Continuously monitor industry insights and trends to create future opportunities
  • Facilitates cross-functional communication to keep leadership informed
  • Manages direct reports, systems and projects to achieve unit goals in accordance with Company policies and practices
  • Prepares and analyzes unit plans and reports
  • Develops and manages change management plans to support large scale merchandising initiatives
  • Liaison with key internal and external partners on change messaging and activities
  • Aligns and coordinates other change advocates

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
  • Some travel is required; averaging roughly 30%
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Multiple years experience in retail

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Experience with work measurement & performance management programs, conveyor design and optimization, large project management, and warehouse systems
  • 5+ years experience
  • Analytical, planning and organizing, sound judgment, decision making and leadership skills required
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with an emphasis in Excel and Access. Knowledge of simulation based software
